Beautiful Scandinavian Modern period living room set (set of two chairs, dining table, bench) designed by Ilmari Tapiovaara and manufactured by Laukaan Puu, Finland, 1950s, Finland.  2 chairs: This pair of dining chairs from the Pirkka series. The chairs have a solid pine seat and backrest and black lacquered beech wooden sticks that compose the frame. Brand marked with the Laukaan Puu stamp on the underside of the seats. Dimensions: H 77 cm x W 39 cm x D 44 cm SH x 40cm. Bench: "Pirkka" bench designed by Ilmari Tapiovaara, manufactured by Laukaan Puu in Finland in the 1950s. Bench is made from the highest quality pinewood with transparent and black lacquer, giving it an eye-catching and highly recognizable appearance. This bench is a truly iconic piece of Scandinavian design that would make an amazing addition to any modern interior, especially against the wall, under a nice modern painting.
