Mid-Century Modern “Big Oyster” Lounge Chair & Footstool
Design by Pierre Paulin for Artifort, 1964 – Model F157
A classic example of Pierre Paulin’s iconic mid-century design, this “Big Oyster” lounge chair with matching footstool was produced by Artifort in the Netherlands in the 1980s.
The seat and backrest have been newly reupholstered in a high-quality purple  Kvadrat fabric, giving the set a fresh and vibrant look while preserving its original character. The piece features curved chrome-plated metal legs, adding to its minimalistic and distinctly Dutch modern aesthetic.
Both the chair and footstool offer superb comfort and are in very good condition.
