Takeshi Nii "NY" Set of 2 Folding Chairs for Suekichi Uchida, 1958s, Japan
Set of 2 foldable lounge chairs were designed by Japanese designer Takeshi Nii and manufactured for Suekichi Uchida in 1958s, Japan. The chairs were named 'NY' after the designer's family name, meaning 'new' in Danish. This wonderful chairs remains in good condition, steel frame with black wooden armrests and navy dark blue canvas seat which is removable. This chair has won many awards and became a permanent feature in the MOMA collection in 1970.
